The gaskets for the exhaust system are not supplied with the kit.
You will need to purchase three 2 ½" inside diameter, three hole flange gaskets and use exhaust manifold gaskets available from General Motors or you can use VW exhaust port gaskets. Each are for individual ports for sealing the headers to the head. We strongly suggest using studs in the head with nuts to fasten the headers to the heads. 8mm thread 1 ½" long studs with nuts.
1. Install all of the studs in the heads.
2. Next install the header gaskets on the studs.
3. Install the headers on the studs and do not tighten the nuts yet.
4. Install the crossover pipe using 3/8-16 x 1" long bolts with nuts and use the header flange gaskets between the flanges of the crossover pipe and header flange.
5. Install the muffler with 3/8-16 x 1" long bolts with nuts using a flange gasket.
6. You may want to use a muffler hanger on the muffler but it’s not really necessary.
7. Tighten all of the nuts and bolts to complete installation.
