Notes Ken Wallis found this Mirage in a field and all that was there was the fiberglass and a badly cut up frame. He has spent the better part of the last four years building it to this stage. But in between times has restored a Rolls Royce, and is now working on a Jag. This is in his spare time left over after taking care of his other three businesses. So far he has installed a Corvette LT-1 crate motor, rack and pinion from a MG, custom made radiator, headers, and about every thing else you can see from the pictures. He has Corvette brakes on the front and is in the process of designing a anti-sway bar for the front end. The LT-1 motor is nice in that it will not stick through the top of the deck lid. He has built a nice stainless grill for the front vent and over the engine to match. Notice all of the smog parts installed (O2 sensors in the header) in order to run the electronics package.
This car is for sale - asking $30K. Ken can be reached by phone: (home) 619-223-0085, (work) 858-495-1828, (cell) 858-495-1833.
Also, be sure to check out the March 2001 issue of Sports Car International to see an article about Ken.
